I created these books in response to Meroogal House, a Sydney Living Museums managed historic property in Nowra, NSW for their bi-annual Women's Art Prize. I was a selected as a finalist for 2016. The Art Prize invited artists to respond to the house and it's inhabitants - four generations of women.

The lack of any presence of children in the house led to the creation of these works. I wanted to put children into Meroogal for a moment, but also find a way to integrate parts of the house into my work. By illustrating household poisons found around the house, I could create a playful object aimed at children. From insecticide to Borax, the objects were chosen for their packaging design, aging beauty, as well as being not suitable for children.
